The Train

2024 - Maya - Substance Painter - Blender

This project started as a class project, where I used Autodesk Maya to model a train and the environment. I spent roughly 2 months modeling the train from photo references, and then textured it in Adobe Substance Painter to create edge wear on the surface to make it look as old as possible. I then rigged it in Maya, animated it, and sent it over to Blender to render it. Unfortunately it didn't come out the way I wanted to by the time I submitted it for finals, so I began working on it as a summer project. After tweaking and fixing the lighting, while also adding volumetric fog, I submitted The Train to an art Gallery at Penn State where it was put up as one of the digital finalist pieces.
